If St. Patrick’s Day events and March Madness basketball aren’t your cup of tea, that’s ok. There’s still plenty of fun things to do in Brooklyn this March. Whether you want to experience the first blooms of spring up close, take an active part in a popular annual event or be inspired by the beauty of art, you can do all three this spring.

Here are just a few of the best things to do in NYC this month!

Celebrate the Return of the Orchid Show

When The Orchid Show: Jeff Leatham’s Kaleidoscope originally opened in 2020, it was well on its way to being one of the biggest events in the history of the New York Botanical Gardens. Unfortunately, the pandemic put the brakes on the momentum and stopped ticket holders from experiencing this marvelous event.

Now, the NYBG is ready to welcome flower fans back this month to experience the breathtaking beauty of The Orchid Show’s most popular event. Designed by Jeff Leatham, the world-renowned artistic director of Paris’ legendary Four Seasons Hotel and floral designer to countless celebrities, this remarkable installation showcases thousands of colorful orchids, eye-catching embellishments and a dazzling kaleidoscope of lights.

Experience this remarkable event for the first time. Or take a return trip to lose yourself in the exquisite beauty all over again. Either way, you’ll have a wonderful time that puts you in the perfect mood for spring!

Run or Watch the NYC Half-Marathon

Although the NYC Marathon is still six months away, the next best thing takes place in March: the New York City Half Marathon! Sponsored by American Airlines, this 13 mile road running race passes through some of the city’s most popular landmarks, including Central Park, Times Square, and Grand Central Station.

If you’re an avid runner who wants to participate in the event you can sign up through one of the race’s charity partners. If getting to the heart of NYC is difficult, but you still want to participate in the race, you can always do so via one of several virtual options. Or, if you don’t want to race at all, you can still attend the event and cheer on the runners from the sidewalks!

Attend the Affordable Art Fair

Want to be inspired by delightful artwork? Or are you looking for a new piece of art to display in your 363 Bond Street apartment? Then be sure to attend the Affordable Art Fair between March 23-27. Held at the Metropolitan Pavilion in Chelsea, this fair features 1000s of pieces from an array of local, national and international galleries. Whether you want to spend browsing the many beautiful pieces of art or you’re interested in building your own collection, the Affordable Art Fair satisfies on both levels. Plus, many of the available pieces are priced at $100!

If you thought that all the March events revolved around sports and St. Patrick, you’ll be happy to know that’s not the case. Brooklyn and the other NYC boroughs always offer a wealth of  fantastic events for all tastes – all year long! And living at  363 Bond Street lets you enjoy the best that Brooklyn has to offer.
