Brooklyn St. Patrick’s Day Parade – The Brooklyn St. Patrick’s Day Parade is a historic borough event that’s in its 43rd year and something you have to experience at least once. However, this year the parade will be held the day after St. Patrick’s Day on Sunday. The parade starts at 1 p.m., with a tribute to 9/11 preceding at 12:45 p.m. Show up early to get a good spot along the route which starts at 15th Street & Prospect Park West.
St. Patrick’s Booze Cruise – Looking to hit the open (kind of) seas and celebrate Irish heritage? Climb aboard the St. Patrick’s Booze Cruise presented by Empire Cruises. This two-hour cruise includes of beverages and cocktails as well as a life DJ. You’ll enjoy views of the Statue of Liberty, Ellis Island, Governors Island, Brooklyn Bridge, and more.

Sober St. Patrick’s Day – Drinking not really your thing? Then travel a bit and gather with like-minded people for a night of fun in Manhattan. This family-friendly event runs from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. and features musicians, singers, and dancers celebrating Irish culture. In its 7th year, the Sober St. Patrick’s Day celebration aims to reclaim the true spirit of the day not too far from your Gowanus apartment.
