Benefits of Living Near the Barkley Center

If you’ve been living in New York City for some time — or even if you’ve never been — there’s a good chance you’ve heard of the Barclays Center. The strikingly designed area, consisting of a glass wall covered by latticework and greenery on the top, is home to the Brooklyn Nets basketball team. Even if you aren’t a fan of the sport, there are plenty of additional benefits from living near the Barclays Center.

First and foremost, when you’re living at 363 Bond, you get all the convenience of living close to the arena, but without having to deal with the crowds and foot traffic that come with living right next door to it. A mere 20-minute walk will get you from your front door to the center. But whether you’re there for a basketball game or a Gaga concert, we wanted to share a few “secrets” that can make you feel like an insider the next time you visit.

You can skip the food lines.

Think you need the front-row seats in order to get the hookup with food? Think again. If you have the Barclays Center app, you can use it to order snacks and drinks; then just go pick up your goodies without having to endure those never-ending lines.

Want the perfect spot for hockey games?

Make sure you buy your tickets in the West End Seating section. There are about 100 seats located just behind the goal on that side, and they were specifically designed with hockey games in mind. How so? They’re about three feet off the ground, giving you a clear, elevated view of the game from a fantastic vantage.

There’s a reason for the green roof.

As we mentioned, the roof of the Barclays Center is green. But it’s not just for aesthetics. Some 35,000 trays of small flowering plants cover the roof and serve two purposes. First, they help to suppress the loud sounds that are made inside during live events. Second, they help to reduce the amount of water that runs off the roof during storms, to the tune of about two million gallons per year.

You might be able to order from a dessert cart.

Sometimes Junior’s stand and Sugar Factory store aren’t open. But what’s a person with a sweet tooth to do? Well, if you’re seated in Level A or B, a dessert cart comes around and will deliver an array of sugary sweet comestibles right to you.

There are a lot of food options.

Yes, another tip about food, but let’s face it: Food and drinks are the second-best part of attending a show in any arena. Here, there are more than 50 local vendors that serve up their goods, all based in Brooklyn. So before you head in for the night, you may want to see who’s there to help narrow down your choices ahead of time.

So now that you know more about this place, it’s time to take advantage of the benefits of living near the Barclays Center. Contact 363 Bond Street today to schedule a tour of our luxury apartments where you’ll be conveniently close to the Barkley Center all year long!
